U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Christopher Rafferty, military police officer, Headquarters Battalion, Marine Forces Reserve, is awarded a Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal by Col. Jason Burkett, commanding officer, HQBN, MARFORRES, during a battalion formation at Marine Corps Support Facility New Orleans, Feb. 1, 2024. While off duty, Rafferty witnessed a motorcycle crash which ejected the rider into heavy incoming traffic.
